I am a professional photographer living in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

As a child I remember dreading the arrival of the school photographer, not because it was a scary experience but because I always hated the photographs. Un-naturally posed photos with very un-naturally brushed hair with a cheesy grin wearing a school uniform I didn’t particularly like. Worse than that was when the school offered family portraits. So not only did I have to sit through the horrible experience all over again, but I had to do it with family so that’s all of us sitting and posing un-naturally, grinning like idiots wearing our ‘smart’ outfits. What is it with parents and ‘smart’ outfits? I look back at those photographs and only worse than the hideous clothes is the hideous background. Why couldn’t I just wear the clothes I usually wore, that I played in and loved. From these photographs I couldn’t tell you what my favourite t-shirt, dress or shoes were at that time.

My outdoor portrait & lifestyle photography sessions are all about capturing a moment of you at that time in your life - the ‘real’ you. Wear the clothes you want and just have fun and I’ll capture some beautiful, natural images. Photographs you can treasure and look back on remembering the real you and triggering memories of what you and your family were like. No static boring coloured backgrounds, just the background of your life and where you enjoy spending your time, whether that’s at home or at the park .
